According to the Miami Herald, Rick Scott bought ads this week for $873,000, but according to campaign finance accounts, he only had about $506,000 cash on hand before the ads launched. In other words, there isn’t enough in the account to cover the ad buy.
From the Miami Herald:
Republican Rick Scott said today that he wasn’t sure if he wrote his campaign another check, topping the $39 million he has already spent since April, to cover a deficit in his campaign account when he bought $873,000 in television ads this week.
Reached Saturday by St. Pete Times reporter Steve Bousquet after the Tea Party rally in St. Augustine, Scott said: “I don’t know. What I will do is make sure we have enough money to get our message out.”
“I don’t know?”
