After months of nail-biting the House finally got a health care bill passed. There were temper tantrums from one side, and there were sighs of relief on the other, except it was hard to drown out the ever-present “Jaws” theme music quietly humming in the background.
We knew it was coming. We have to do it all over again in the Senate now.
However, if you were watching the Sunday political shows you would have heard that the shark already ate the bill before it even got there! Tricky shark!
It’s official. According to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.): the health care legislation that passed in the House will be “dead on arrival” in the Senate, mostly because he and his BFF Sen. Joe Lieberman (Irrelevant-Conn.), those crazy twins of doom, will not go “anywhere near it!” Legislation by liberals, for liberals will not stand! The Dynamic Duo of the Senate will stop it in its tracks! Ka-Pow!
The great OZ has spoken, and of course, you know he is always right!
So Senate, there you have it, end of story.
You can all go home now.
