Here’s a shocker!
You know that “Superbowl of Freedom” protest where crazy wing-nut Michele Bachmann (R-MN) called on her “Freedom Fighters” to come to Washington D.C. to protest the evil health care bill on Thursday? You’ll recall these “Freedom Fighters” were the ones Bachmann instructed to shout from the rafters of the Capitol: “Don’t take away my health care which I don’t have!”
Well, nutty Bachmann showed up, and she brought some of her nutty colleagues too, like Virginia-You-Want-Crazy-Look-No-Further-Foxx (R-NC), for example.
The protesters came too, however, and here’s the shocker: there seems to be some number inflation going on reminiscent of the infamous 9/12 protest as to how many actually showed up.
Bachmann claims there were 25,000 to 45,000 people there.
On the other hand, Capitol police said there were 3,000 to 3,500 people there.
There’s also a picture out there, and it sure doesn’t look like a huge crowd. But hey, who are you going to believe, a possibly deranged congresswoman or your lying eyes, hmm?
To quote someone from the recent “flash mob” protest that was less than crowded:
