Newly released census figures show that people are fleeing Florida, that a number of those who aren’t leaving are living in multigenerational households, over 240,000, and, no surprises here, 3.6 million people in the state are not covered by health care. That’s 21 percent of the population. Among those of working age who don’t qualify for Medicare, 27 percent do not have health insurance. For the first time in 60 years, Florida has actually lost population.
