In her “tireless” yet laughably ironic quest to help elect candidates “who understand the constitution” (her words) Sarah Palin is on her way to Florida. Again.
This time she’ll be “helping” Republican Party Of Florida head John Thrasher. Thrasher faces a primary challenge from GOP Dr. Charles Perniciaro, but he also needs to boost his anti-abortion cred with the right-wing who say he hasn’t seized the opportunity in the past to restrict partial-birth abortion and require parental notification for minors who seek abortions. In other words, he’s not anti-abortion enough. So who better to call on to enter screeching than Sarah Palin?
Before you run to the nearest electronics store for noise-cancellation headphones, or pack up to leave the state entirely, keep in mind that her track record for boosting Republicans hasn’t exactly been a good one. A Palin endorsement these days is almost a given as a win for the other guy, and her recent blunders have proven to be so blatantly dumb that even her most unaware supporters have begun to notice that she doesn’t have a clue. Just last week she and her daughter were caught showing their true colors before realizing they were on camera, and yesterday she demonstrated that she doesn’t know the difference between the stimulus, tax cuts for the rich, and the TARP.
So one would think John Thrasher would be running away from Palin rather than appearing with her. Wrong.
Not only will they appear together, but they will do so in the typical GOP fashion with new heights of hypocrisy:
Yes. “One Amazing Night” of anti-abortion fun with Sarah Palin! The self-proclaimed “Mama Grizzly” who touts free speech, and slings mud and hate from the safety of her FOX, Facebook, and Twitter bubble. The woman who takes no questions, gives no interviews, and vilifies the media while she uses them, brought to you by an organization calling themselves “Heroic Media.”
There’s no word yet on how much Palin will charge for “free speech” this time around, but regardless of whatever the advertised topic may be, her recent speeches have reportedly become more and more “all about her” than anything else. If that turns out to be the case here, do you suppose there may be a few ticket holders who will wish they had their money back?
Wow way to early to read this, Im glad I live in South Florida she hasn’t made it down this far, guess all the real American are North of Orlando.
Please people open your eyes…. We need Thrasher gone! Lately he has done nothing to help our state, only hurt it. He’s a played out, back woods, good old boy who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Its sad, he tried to fill the shoes of a great man, but has failed at all attempts. And don’t even get me started on Palin. Thrasher and Palin must have gone to the same school for clowns. I really pray that Dr. Perniciaro pulls this off. He has never recieved one repremand in his personal or professional career. He cares about, and believes in our District and state. If Thrasher is re-elected, I will have to think long and hard about the integrity and intelligence of our state.
